NEW MUSIC: “Greatest Part Of Me” by Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez’s “Greatest Part Of Me” leaked yesterday. The Pop/R&B record is produced by Sean Hall (from Tricky Stewart’s production company – “Louboutins”), and co-written/co-produced by Kuk Harrell and Kelly Sheean.
The song was recorded over 8 months ago during one of the “Love?” sessions. I am guessing that this is not the final version, thus making it a demo for the song. The original demo, recorded by writer Kelly Sheean, leaked a while back. I will put both in this post.

For me personally, this is the least favorite song out of all the songs we have heard from the “Love?”-sessions. I think I’d even rather have J-Lo’s 2005 “Make It Pop” outtake on the album.
Here are all the song’s from the “Love?”-sessions that have either been leaked or released so far; “Hooked On You”, “One Love”, “What Is Love”, “Fresh Out The Oven”, “Louboutins”, “Everybody’s Girl” and “Greatest Part Of Me”.
That’s a total of 7 songs, it’s still uncertain if all of these songs will eventually end up being on the album.
To my utter shock, according to Extra!, Jennifer spoke about the album at the Grammys, saying:
“I’m working on my album that will be out… hopefully this year; we’ll see if I get it done… You know how it is, you go in you’re there non-stop, you leave it alone for a minute and you come back – you’re like, okay, this is what I need.”
Which baffles me because it hints that the album might not even get a release for April — or not being released in 2010 at all for that matter. I really think it might be time for Jennifer Lopez, Benny Medina and Epic Records to sit around the table because so far this era has been rather…. interesting.
The mention of a greatest hits album, songs leaked, the cancellation of a greatest hits album, the Lola/”Fresh Out The Oven” ‘fiasco’, the release of “Louboutins,” along with promotion on the biggest national tv shows while the song has yet to chart, “Everybody’s Girl” being played on German radio without any clear info about the song’s release. Magazine covers (ELLE, Latina) promoting the new album months before it’s release. Jennifer also mentioned several times that the music video for “Louboutins” was a work in progress but we have yet to hear something clear about that to this day…
Me ranting about this era is all out of the LOVE I have for Jennifer. I just really want this project to have (commercial) success and it should get more recognition and be marketed better than “Brave” or “Rebirth” – which left us fans hanging with a handful of promotion and just two singles per album.

I’m pretty sure u’re right in what u feel in order to your kind of thoughts. But please, I work in the media too, and have a channel to express judgements about how mediocre or not a work is, isn’t too right cause u have the power of lead people. As long as i havent any rights to tell u what u have to done, i’m just sugestioning some profesionalism and to try to have a neutral point of view about jennifer lopez, ure an information site, not a criticizm columnist who some day soon will shut his mouc about when she finally get’s out with the album and stuff.

Talking about what kind of site we are, we are not ‘just an information site.’ Our staff members also have the right to express their feelings on certain topics. I understand that we have the power of leading readers and I have thus decided to remove the ‘mediocre comment’.
But still, I am voicing MY opinion on MY website, NOT the one of ALL J-LO fans. Even though I have read about quite a few fans that are not happy with the handling of this era so far. And those people who disagree with me or agree with me, they are all free to discuss their opinions on the matter in this comment area on the website. That’s what it’s for.

It seems to me like J.Lo isnt ready to leave the studio. She recently saisd in interview after the Grammys that she would like to collaborate with Fergie and this weekend she will be performing in Miami and Will.I.Am will be DJ so I think there is a strong possibilty for that happenning. If her creative juices are flowing then let then flow and give it her all and give it more so that when the album comes out are jaws will drop.

Whoever from Jen’s team/Sony is reading this,i just want to tell that i CANNOT enjoy Jennifer’s music anymore…
We need INFORMATION about upcoming releases. We are so sick of trying to understand what is Jennifer’s next step from random dancer’s twitter account. You guys need to give us information but still nothing. I tought everything will be different and Sony/Jennifer would learn from their past mistakes (CAUM/Brave) but clearly,nothing has changed.
Just telling that if things wont be different,i wont be here for the next album (if there’ll be next album,cuz not sure how long this can go because of your mistakes)

Voicing my view-points – I dont think i love/like somebody just because there music is liked/unliked by others!
Once you love someone, you love soomeone, and it dont matter who they are!
As much as i want Jennifer to come back on the charts and bring in more better music, i would’t say i hate her and that ‘because of that’ then its over!
For me thats material love and not wholesome!
I love her for what she does in fashion, movies, fragrance, and i would love if she came back badly in music, but so is so, and if she hasnt done better, then i wouldnt hate her!
I love her music, her voice – and tho’ people say her voice isnt good, but i love it.So many people cant do that thin-thinner voice she has, cos they got higher voice.
Thats what i like about her!
It dont matter charting, just because some anti-fans hate her!

Some things i want to point out regarding this era. but it all boils down to one common point: There are some major problems.
1. With all the appearances/performances/magazine covers, Louboutins has yet to chart. And the song was released back in November. As much as I love and adore the song, it didn’t work.
2. The release date of TBUP definitely affected the promotion of this era.
3. Leaks – We almost have half of an album. WIL and OL were not supposed to leak, but it did. So we have 2 tracks less from an album.
4. CAUM and Brave were about love. Now, still love? Sing about silly things, about how good life is, how happy a party is. Sing about any other thing aside from love. please. Look at GR, WFT, LGL, FSG.
5. IMO, the main problem with Jen’s music is that the fails to attract younger audience and keeps on losing her old fans. I mean look at Britney. Teenagers still know her, Her old fanbase is still stable.
These problems must be addressed by her management in order for her to get back in the game

I`m loosing my patience as well e and i`m really dissapionted.I mean i`ve been waiting for this album for such a long time.First last year it had to be a greatest hits,then decided to be a new album which i agree cos all the songs form this project seems soo good,then a date for the album had been released (i tought) in April and now THIS???I`m tired of waiting.So why all that promotion on Louboutins and why were hearing all these songs from her suppose to be her new album?I can`t` take this anymore,really angry

Wow. As if they still don’t have anything set up for the album yet. They are like leaking all the songs in the damn CD but yet no videos. Only video out there is for FOTO but thats not even on the album. Louboutins is killed now, too late to try to make it fresh again, its been over a month now that the song has been out, and people have lost there interest (for the people who actually had one for it from the beginig). We need to hear official info from Jen or someone from Epic ASAP. Cause the whole not even knowing if the album will even be realeased in April (or even this year) is ridiculous. Wasn’t it supposed to come out in January…?

I completely AGREE! Im like, I don’t even have words. Mad love for Jlo but someone is not doing their job correctly. After her fall, she had momentum going, and should have had a video to accompany Louboutins right after. Then she NEEDED to go personally to Z-100 and promote the song! Like who listens to 103.5? which is where I believe she called. Promote in some gay clubs in NYC!!! Honestly, at this point I think its too late for “Louboutins”. Ive been promoting to ALL my friends, sending emails like everywhere and this is like the most depressing news. Not to mention, why is this performance in a club in Miami, AGAIN? Don’t forget your roots Jlo and remember NYC is where it begins and ends! Loves ya and praying for a miracle at this point.

nice song. But I think it is not good enough to be on the album. would be a nice bonus track for itunes or something. Not bad. A lot better then boring ‘Everybody’s Girl’.
Still waiting for the ‘Louboutins’ video!!! Who cares about the billboard charts. This song needs a banging video. i supported this song so much that I feel like I need this video as a present. lol

First of all, i’m totally agree with Imko, i’m a huge fan of Jennifer Lopez, i’m support her even when she flops but at this point i’m really disapointed and angry about all of this bad choices not just by sony, epic, Benny Medina also by Jennifer Lopez.
I quit. Miss Jennifer Lopez has one fan less, maybe ONE is not too important, but i really love her career and I’m tired of all of this stuff.

Whell, I don’t know much about the promoting of the album or whether it is even comming out (although even I know that the promotion should be better but okay) but I really like greatest part of me. It has a bit of that feeling of some of the songs on the TISMT album, and I loved those songs! There just the kind of songs that get my mind straight whenever I’m down or something, I love the song.
