Despite her twins, Emme and Maximilian, her marriage with Latin pop star Marc Anthony, her long break and luxury commuting life between Los Angeles and her country home outside New York, she has not changed. She is still “Jenny from the block”, thanks to a solid family, but also because of two failed marriages that have helped her understand what love is. Now she feels ready to talk about it. In song.

“Going to love lessons could help us in our lives”. With three marriages and a series of stormy relationships behind her, Jennifer Lopez speaks with experience. Sitting in the study in her country home outside New York, she touches on the argument by talking about Love, the first album produced since the birth of her two twins, Emme and Maximilian.

“Love is the most important thing in life, but we never talk about it enough”, she stresses. “Today, I feel I’m a more aware person. I don’t want to try and teach anyone anything, because I don’t reckon I have all the answers in my pocket. But I would like this record to help people think”.

The six years passed with March Anthony and maternity have changed her points of view. A few months before the birth of the twins, she chose to leave the public scene for the first time since coming to the fore as actress, in the mid 1990s. This has been a healthy break for her, giving her the time to reflect and the desire to restart the role of sexy diva she has always played. “At the beginning, everything revolved around the kids. Now, they remain the priority, but I’ve reacquired my sex appeal and energy”.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2010 at yesterday night’s Costume Institute Gala at the Met in New York City.

Jennifer accessorized with Stephen Russell jewels, Judith Leiber clutch and Sergio Rossi slingbacks.

The Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrates the opening of the “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” exhibition. The event is hosted by Patrick Robinson of The Gap, co-hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.

From the daring, low-cut Versace dress she rocked at the 2000 Grammys to the Old Hollywood-glamour Armani Prive gown she donned to the Oscars last month, Jennifer Lopez has long been a fashion force.

That’s why Us Weekly named the singer-actress, 40 (whose newest romantic comedy, The Back-Up Plan, hits theaters this Friday), Style Icon of the Decade.

“It’s an incredible honor!” the mom of 2-year-old twins Max and Emme tells the new Us Weekly. “When they told me, I was just like, ‘Really? Oh, my god! That’s so awesome.’ It’s just so great for me, because I really do love fashion, and I have since I was a little girl.”

Lopez, along with Us’ other Hot Hollywood style winners (see list below), will be feted at Us’ annual Hot Hollywood bash in L.A. Thursday. (All the gossip and exclusive photos will be featured on UsMagazine.com Friday!)

This is a totally well-deserved surprise! Celebrity magazine Us Weekly has declared Jennifer Lopez its Hot Hollywood Style Icon of the Decade. Among other stars named in the annual Hot Hollywood Style issue (on newsstands in select cities April 21, nationwide April 23): Anna Kendrick, Sofia Vergara, Sheryl Crow, Nikki Reed and Molly Sims. The honorees will be celebrated April 22 at Drai’s Hollywood.

During the international press conference of The Back-up Plan, a different one from the one we attended, Jennifer Lopez revealed the name of her new fragrance set to be released this summer, it’s called “Love & Glamour.”

“I’m very obsessed with smells, if someone smells good it sticks with me and I can remember [it] years later. So there’s my line of fragrances and another summer release [called] ‘Love & Glamour’. I love to smell good and when people smell good!”

She shot the campaign in the beginning of March. Oribe did her hair for the photoshoot and he tweeted about it on March 15th. This will be Jennifer’s 14th fragrance if you include all the spin-offs of the original collections.

I can’t wait to see the campaign and I personally really like the name! It also goes hand in hand with the release of her upcoming album Love? – also set for a summer release.
