On the set of Vogue Italia photoshoot (January 21) 2010

Filed under: Jennifer Lopez, Magazines, Photos by Imko

Jennifer Lopez was seen joking around with her manager and assistant during lunch and in between shooting for Vogue Italia at the Raleigh Hotel yesterday. It looks like these photos were taken when Jennifer was sending us a tweet about shooting for the magazine.

I am so excited to see the end result! I wonder who she shot with as well! I’m hoping for something provocative with a photographer like Steven Klein.

Photoshooted for Vogue Italia

Jennifer Lopez left a message on her Twitter yesterday while on set to shoot for the Italian edition of Vogue.

Hello lovers, you’ll never guess what I’m doing… on set for an Italian Vogue shoot! Glam and couture never gets old. I’m very blessed!

I could not be more excited over this! Vogue Italia is the most commercial of all editions of Vogue magazine and has been called the top fashion magazine in the world.

Its imagery is frequently shocking and provocative; according to the art director of British Vogue, its photographs “go beyond straight fashion to be about art and ideas”

Influential editorials have included Steven Meisel’s September 2006 “State of Emergency”, a visual play on the War on Terror, and Meisel’s July 2007 “Rehab”, addressing recent celebrity visits to rehab clinics.

ELLE’s February cover girl on motherhood, heartbreak, and the future ...

Filed under: Interviews, Jennifer Lopez, Magazines by Imko

Jennifer Lopez strikes a fierce pose on the February cover of ELLE magazine. This is one of my favorite photoshoots in years, she looks amazing. The pictures were taken by Tom Munro, who previously photographed the likes of Madonna, Victoria Beckham and Lady GaGa for the magazine.

On hosting a dinner for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor:

“She didn’t realize what she was going to symbolize. And it’s always scary to be thrown into it–that’s what I felt like when I did Selena. You’re thrown out there, and all of a sudden you’re not anonymous. You are now known. And that’s a lot to handle. It’s scary at first. Then you get used to it. And so she was in that moment of her life where it’s just like, What the hell? Everybody’s clapping for me. People are writing about me, talking about me, I’m on TV. She was just a judge in New York.”

On why she never considered in vitro fertilization, like her character in The Back-Up Plan:

“When it comes to family and relationships, I’m quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don’t mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it’s not, it’s not going to.”

On the merit of her romantic comedies:

“I think Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law are very layered movies. And that’s why they’re so successful. People don’t like shitty romantic comedies. Nothing that’s shitty is going to make $100 million.”

Jennifer Lopez covers Latina (February) 2010

Filed under: Jennifer Lopez, Magazines by Imko

Check out another smoking hot cover for this month! Latina magazine spoke with Jennifer Lopez about ‘making love last’.

Jennifer Lopez says “everything is great” in her marriage to Marc Anthony.

“First and foremost, we love each other, truly love each other in a way that’s very deep and meaningful, not in a superficial sort of way. There’s a deep respect, admiration and love for each other. We honestly believe that we make each other better people…We force each other to be better, and I think in a relationship, that’s how it should be. You shouldn’t be with somebody if he makes you feel less than who you are.”

What does JLo say about looking at past work featuring exes: “Exposed? Vulnerable? Do I cringe? [Laughs] No, no, it’s a literal snapshot. Every one of my albums is very spot-on with who I was at the time. … I can’t regret the things I did in the past, like putting somebody in a video that I was with. Who cares? I think people relate to me because they know that I’m not being phony.”

On fame: “Your world becomes smaller, so yeah, it is a weird reality. You stop doing things like having a key in your pocket, opening the door for yourself because you become so busy. All of a sudden, somebody takes that over for you. You do lose touch a little bit; anybody who says they don’t is a liar. … I have found myself lately saying it needs to be more simple. I can’t have all these people around, especially once you have children. I’ve been able to always keep a good perspective. I’ve never, thank God, gone completely off into the stratosphere. I’m not saying I haven’t had my moments [laughs], but I’m always able to come back.”
